March

Dear parents,

Another great month has come and gone. It’s hard to believe that we have already reached March! I would like to thank all of the parents/grandparents who planned and donated items and time to our Valentine’s party! The kiddos had a great time and all of your effort is so appreciated

Some of our academic focuses this month will be spring, the weather, baby animals, and new life (plants). We will talk about the rainbow and the diamond shape. Our rainbow show and tell day will be on Tuesday, March 9th. Your child can bring in one item with any color of the rainbow on it to tell the class about. Please make sure that they can carry it in their school bag.

On Friday, March 12th, I will hold conferences for all children. There is a sign up sheet in the front foyer. Please come in and sign up for a 10 minute time slot…I would like to speak with all parents on this day. If you are unable to come in, I would be happy to set up a phone conference.

On Tuesday, March 16th, we will welcome Mr. Lewis into our classroom to do a unit on St. Patrick’s Day and Ireland. Mrs. Nelson’s class will also join us on this day. This is a wonderful educational opportunity for the class and we are thankful for the visit!

Our spring break will be from April 2-9th. We will have our Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 1st. We are asking that each child bring in 12 plastic eggs filled with candy or small toys. Please bring these in to the classroom by Tuesday the 30th. Also the room parents will be contacting you sometime during the month if you have signed up to donate items for the party. A big thanks in advance for your donations!

Our Christian value of the month is goodness. Our bible verse is: “And do not forget to do good and to share with others…” Hebrews 13:16 . If the children can recite this verse on their own, they will be able to choose a prize from Mrs. Feagle’s treasure chest.

Have a great month…here’s wishing for some great spring weather!
