Dear Parents,
At the beginning of the school year, part of my job was to help your child separate from home and make new friends. Now, sadly, it is almost time for us to separate from each other. I am proud of the way the children have adjusted and learned to be a part of our class. It was a pleasure to be a small part of their learning experience. Thank you for sharing your child with us for a short time during these precious years.
This month we will have several fun days while preparing for the end of our time together. Sunshine day, alphabet day, teddy bear day, ice cream day, and blue day are planned. (Blue is our color for May). We will also be making a special gift for Mom on her special day. Also, please take a few minutes each day to work with your child to help him/her learn their home address. Each child who can tell me their address will receive a special prize to take home along with their “address house”.
On May 13 (outside play day), please send a beach towel to school with your child. Water play will be included if the weather permits.
On May 27(teddy bear day), the children are encouraged to bring their special teddy bear for a pretend picnic during circle time.
Concluding our school activities will be a picnic on May 29 at Carriage Hill Farm. Faith Preschool will provide the drinks and cups. Parents are asked to bring a sandwich for each attending family member and a food item to share. Included with this newsletter will be a list of the food we are requesting. Please send it back with your name beside what you’d be willing to bring and share. Thank you in advance.
A special “THANK YOU” to Mrs. Dunmire, our room Mom who planned all of our parties for the year. A job well done! Thanks also to all parents who sent in goodies and helped throughout the year. Also, a special “THANK YOU” to Mrs. Harris for all the “extras” she had provided this year. We truly appreciate all you have done.
Hope to see everyone at our end of the school year picnic and in the FALL!

Throughout the year, teachers will post monthly newsletters and lesson plans in this section of the website so parents may know what stories and activities are taking place in their child’s classroom. This information will also be posted on the bulletin board inside the school. Newsletters are written and sent home with students at the beginning of each month. Snack lists are also posted. Please read newsletter and check our calendar for important dates.
