It’s hard to believe that it’s already March! The school year is flying by! Before looking at the month ahead, I wanted to take a moment to thank our room mother, Shelly, for putting together an amazing Valentine celebration for the children. We all had a wonderful afternoon. Topics for March will include dinosaurs, Dr. Seuss, St. Patrick’s Day and, most importantly, Easter and its meaning. Our focus will be on letters G, Y and M and the number 7. Our shape will be an oval and our color will be rainbow. Our value of the month will be goodness and the bible verse will be Hebrews 13:16, “And do not forget to do good and to share with others…” As all of you know, we will be having parent-teacher conferences on Friday, March 12. There will be no school this day. If you haven’t done so already, please sign up for a meeting time to discuss your child/children’s progress. For those of you with more than one child in class, please remember to register for more than one slot. Please keep in mind that each conference will be limited to 15 minutes. Our biggest event of the month will be an Easter party and egg hunt scheduled for Wednesday, March 31. We would like each child to bring in 12 plastic eggs with a small treat inside for this event. I’ll send a notice home as our events gets closer so you know when your child should bring their eggs. Our room mother, Mrs. Dahlstrom, will be calling parents to see if anyone is interested in donating items for our celebration. As always, I’m available to discuss any questions or concerns. I’m looking forward to another wonderful month with the children!
