Mrs. Nelson's
Pre-K Class
Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Bellinger

Welcome to February! I hope you are all staying warm. We will be spending this month discussing Groundhog's Day, President's Day, Leap Year and Valentine's Day. We will also talk about having a healthy heart and dental health. Our preschool will have a visit from Small Smiles Dental and hear all about keeping our teeth healthy.
We will also have a “Post Office” here at Faith Preschool. Your child will participate in mailing letters, sorting mail and being a mail carrier. We even have a mail carrier costume for them to take turns wearing.
I will be assessing your child one-on-one this month in preparation for our Parent/Teacher Conferences, which will be on March 12th. We evaluate large and fine motor skills, social & emotional skills and academic skills that they will need to know for kindergarten. Please make sure they also practice their personal info; name, address, phone number and birthday.
Our focus items this month:
Letters: D, E, Z
Numbers: 0 and 10
Shape: heart
Color: Pink
Moral Quality: Love, – As I have loved you, so you must love one another. John 13:34
We will be having a Valentine Party on Mon. Feb. 13. THANK YOU to my room moms who are organizing these parties. Your child may bring in Valentines to pass out to his/her friends. Please have them only sign their name on the card, as this prevents mass confusion :).
