Mrs. Wynkoop 's
Pre-K Class
Mrs. Wynkoop & Mrs. Lee

Hello cold weather! We hope you are all staying warm & healthy. We are already looking forward to spring! Thank you in advance to my room moms who are starting to plan our Valentine’s Party.
Conferences are right around the corner. They will be held in March so I will continue to assess your child this month.
Our February Focus will include:
Letters: D,E & F
Numbers: 0 & 10
Color: Pink
Shape: Heart
Moral Focus: Love – As I have loved you, so you must love one another. John 13:34
We will be discussing Leap year, Groundhog Day, Presidents’ Day and Valentines’ Day. Our Valentine party will be on Monday, February 13th. The children will also have a fun and educational experience in our preschool “post office.” The children will learn what a mail carrier does! Each child will get a turn putting on our mail carrier costume and will pretend they are delivering mail. They will also get to sort the mail in our “post office.”
This month, we will also talk about having a healthy heart, the importance of exercising, healthy & unhealthy food and dental health. To teach the children about how important it is to have healthy teeth, we will have a visit from Small Smiles Dental on Friday, February 10th. They will be talking with the children about good oral hygiene. We will also have a food experience making potato chips this month. YUM!
We will continue to introduce money. We will be talking about nickels. A guessing jar of candy will be in our room starting Monday, February 6th thru Friday, February 10th. Each child will get 1 guess each day. The closest guess will win & take home the jar of candy. Happy Guessing!
