SUMMER PRESCHOOL PROGRAM 2009

General Information about 3 Year Old Class

June 15-August 7th

Our 8-week summer program is geared towards children ages 3-5. We will have 20 children in our classroom along with a teacher and assistant. Mrs. Feagle will be the lead teacher working with the children this summer. We will have class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The morning class time is 9:30-12:00.

Tuition cost for our 8-week program is $208.00 if paid by May 22, 2008.  If paid after May 22nd, the tuition is $30.00 each week and must be paid on each Monday.

Zoo Animals:   Let’s go to the Zoo! Our zoo adventure begins in June with lots of animal activities, and art projects planned. We will hang like monkeys and growl like bears, hiss like a snake, sound like the elephants, and roar like a lion as we explore the life of wild animals.

Science & Math:  We will complete many science and math experiments.  Your child will learn how to investigate the uniqueness of many different animals.  We will find answers by predicting, observing, conducting experiments, collecting and recording data, and then drawing conclusions.  Your child will learn so many different things about animals.

Reading is Fun:  This program will increase letter recognition, develop phonemic awareness and solidify their alphabetic knowledge. Children will engage in a variety of hands on activities along with art and music to improve their pre-reading and vocabulary skills.  Each day, your child will be read a book about animals.  They will also be challenged to answer questions and predict what happens at the end of the book.  These skills are very important for preschoolers to have before entering Kindergarten.

Additional Activities:  Our fun outdoor activities will include soccer, parachute games, bikes, playground play, and water play. Indoor activities include painting, playdoh, coloring, ring toss, beanbag fun, puzzles, library, building blocks, music, puppets, basketball and much more.  We will have water play every Friday.  The children wear their bathing suit to school and participate in many fun water games.

At the end of July, the preschoolers will have a very special ice cream party with all the yummy sprinkles and toppings imaginable.

If you are interested in signing your child up for the summer program, please send back the registration form to Faith Preschool, 5555 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights. If you have questions, please call Mrs. Feagle 233-4771.  We hope to see your child here at Faith!
